The story of the JKwood brand dates back several decades.
Even before 1980, the craft was established by grandfather Drago, who specialized in woodturning and laid the foundations of knowledge and respect for this material. In 1992, the workshop was taken over by his son Slavko, who expanded the tradition, broadened production, and introduced new machinery and approaches, enabling even greater precision and quality.
Today, the third generation enters the market under the name JKwood.
The name JKWood is derived from the initials of Jože Kožar, who continues the story with a clear vision for the future. As a formally educated wood engineer, he brings professional expertise, modern technologies, and fresh ideas into the craft. By combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary methods, he further enhances the value of wood — a truly remarkable natural material. At the heart of the JKWood brand are unique wooden fashion accessories — wooden watches, bow ties, belt buckles, rings, and other pieces that position the brand in the modern market. In addition to fashion accessories, JKWood also creates modern cutting boards, wooden kitchen utensils, and custom-made products. Each piece is the result of knowledge, precision, and respect for wood — a material that is never the same, and therefore gives every product its own unique story.
